What People Are Saying About My Artwork

Developed by Orestis Lazos in 2011, Hellas Riots is a Counter-Strike mod that re-creates the clash between Greek protesters and police forces and it is based on the incidents that took place in several Greek cities, in December 2008. As Lazos writes, “The game is staged in Tsimiski Avenue, Salonika, the most central and commercial avenue of the city. This video is recorded from inside the game during playing.” More information can be found here.

The latest project from Greek artist Orestis Lazos, a Graduate of School of Visual and Applied Arts, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Department, is W:O:A.. a new game that recreates famous artworks by the likes of Andy Warhol, Richard Hamilton, Rene Magritte, Jeff Koons, Vincent Van Gogh and many more within a 3D space – the quintessential simulated gallery/museum. This video was created by Lazos as documentation for his Final Project in Digital Arts at Athens School of Fine Arts. A clever update to Tobias Bernstrup + Palle Torsson’s Museum Meltdown (1996).
